Institutional Care” of law No.31
on the rights of persons with
disabilities for the year 2007.
In accordance of these rights
the Council will contribute by
paying 60% of the tuition fees
for schools and centers at which
persons with disabilities are
enrolled as part of the
agreements signed by the Council
and these schools or centers
and as follows:
1-Special
Education Day Centers:
The
Council will support students by
paying a percentage of the
tuition fees according to an
agreement signed by the Council
and the center whereby the
center should prepare a list of
students who need support.
2-Education
in Centers with Accommodation
for disabled:
The
Council will support students by
paying a percentage of the
tuition fees according to an
agreement signed by the Council
and the center whereby the
center should prepare a list of
students who need support.
3-
Integration schools:
In these
schools, students receive a
financial support whereby the
Council pays up to 60% of the
tuition fees. Families that have
more than one person with
disability get support up to 90%
of the tuition fees in
accordance to the agreement
signed by the Council and the
center.

or center to clarify (Monthly
and annually) tuition fees and a
petition addressed to His Royal
Highness Prince Raad Bin Zeid
HCAPD president.

Additional Information
This
service includes all
disabilities in specialized
centers, schools, children in
resource rooms and whose
families’ income is low.
Name of Service: University
Education
Introduction:
Article
(4) paragraph B ( Education &
Higher Education) items (1,8,9)
of the Rights of Persons with
Disability Law number 31 for the
year 2007 focused on the
necessity of providing vital
facilities for disabled to get
the highest academic degrees.
The Council coordinates with
educational institutions and
universities to accept students
with disabilities by giving them
a discount on tuition fees. The
percentage and rate of this
discount is stated in accordance
with the decree of the Higher
Council for Education number 320
issued on 19/9/2007. In
addition, the Council grants a
semester subsidy, up to 300JD,
for university students and
public community colleges
students.
The amount
of the grant will be decided
according to the study program
the student enrolled in (ex.
Undergraduate or post graduate.

university transcript of grades
where the student has been

Name of service : Employment
Introduction
:
Article
(4) paragraph C of the Rights of
Persons with Disability Law
number 31 for the year 2007
deals with vocational training
and employment. Therefore, The
HCD and in compliance with its
commitment to activate this
right , sends out formal letters
to both public and private
sectors to assist persons with
disability to get suitable jobs
. It also endeavors to enforce
this law by coordinating with
other ministries and various
public and private institutions.

Name of service : Mobility Aids
Article
(4) paragraph A,B,C,E,H on the
Rights of Persons with
Disability Law number 31 for the
year 2007 deals with securing
and facilitating getting medical
tools and equipment for persons
with disability so as to enhance
and promote their interaction
with their society and to
empower them to do all jobs and
activities to achieve maximum
independence . The Council signs
agreements with concerned
parties to provide them with the
needed equipments.

Introduction:
Article

number 31 on the Rights of
Persons with Disability for the
year 2007 deals with making
available reasonable
accommodation that assist
persons with disability to learn
, communicate and get the
necessary training . Therefore,
the Council contributes by
paying 90% of equipments value
or sends formal letters to
various concerned bodies to
secure them for free.
