Legal Affairs

Legal managements and / or legal consultancy offices in all ministries and State institutions and public facilities are important departments that assist decision-makers in making their decisions in a sound manner and within clear legal bases that correspond with the laws, regulations and instructions in effect.


1. To examine and review the various national legislation systems and to monitor the apparent gaps pertaining to persons with disabilities.

2. To propose amendments on legislation, laws, regulations, instructions and decisions so that they are in harmony with the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the UN Convention.

3. To follow-up on complaints submitted to the Equal Opportunities Committee and the Monitoring and Coordination Department.

4. To develop and formulate all the instructions that the Council is required to issue such as those relating to the ID card for persons with disabilities.

5. To review all legal matters relating to the internal work of the Council.
